Worzalla Named Best Workplace and Safety Shield Awardee in Best Workplace in the Americas 2019 Competition

Worzalla of Stevens Point, Wisconsin has been awarded the Best Workplace in the Americas (BWA) designation and Safety Shield, to recognize exemplary human resources practices that create an outstanding workplace. This is the third consecutive year Worzalla has earned the BWA designation and the first for the addition of the Safety Shield.

The Best Workplace in the Americas designation is bestowed upon those companies in the Graphic Arts and related disciplines who have created an environment where employees can thrive along with their company through sound Human Resources Practices. Companies named a Best Workplace in the Americas have commitment to superiority in the areas of Communication & Culture, Employee Resources & Benefits, and Work Environment & Safety.

The Safety Shield recognizes companies in the Graphic Arts Industry that demonstrate excellence in occupational safety and health within the workplace. Companies receiving a Safety Shield are evaluated against Occupational Health and Safety Administration standards, workplace health and safety best practices, and employee safety training programs.

A panel of respected human relations professionals from the print industry judged entrants against benchmarking categories that promote the most sought-after qualities of today’s workforce, including: Communication & Culture, Employee Resources & Benefits, and Work Environment & Safety. Those awarded a Safety Shield designation were evaluated on OSHA compliance and best safety practices for the printing industry.

“It’s an honor to be recognized by the industry as a company that offers a superior workplace,” said Jim Fetherston, CEO and President of Worzalla. “Associate safety is our number one priority, so we’re especially pleased to have received, for the first time, the Safety Shield designation.”

Michael Makin, president and CEO of Printing Industries of America, agrees. “Companies recognized in the Best Workplace in the Americas program exhibit the highest commitment to success in many ways, but particularly through their employees. Congratulations to Worzalla.”
