Stevens Point, Wisconsin (March 17, 2023) - Worzalla, an employee-owned book printer specializing in printing high-quality children's books, cookbooks, and hardcover bestsellers celebrated St. Patrick's Day with the Portage County Boys and Girls Club. Worzalla associates, along with Worzalla's new and yet-to-be-named mascot, provided supplies to help students build traps to catch a leprechaun while they read "How to Catch a Leprechaun" by Adam Wallace.

“As active members of the community, Worzalla associates value the importance of engaging with students and encouraging creativity," said Brianne Petruzalek, Worzalla's Vice President of Human Resources. "Our associates have joined forces with the Boys and Girls Club of Portage County to inspire the youth in our community to use their imaginations as we celebrate St. Patrick's Day."

Worzalla bought craft supplies including construction paper, boxes, pipe cleaners, colored popsicle sticks, and gold coins to help students build enticing leprechaun traps. Traps were created in many different shapes and sizes, using bright colors and clever strategies to outsmart and catch leprechauns. The activity allowed students to practice problem-solving techniques, test ideas, and learn how to invent trapping mechanisms. Additionally, three lucky winners walked away with the book "How to Build a Leprechaun Trap," published by Sourcebooks and printed by Worzalla.

The St. Patrick's Day celebration took place at Jefferson Elementary, the elementary school down the street from Worzalla headquarters. Worzalla's new and soon-to-be-named mascot which is a giant book with the Worzalla logo, attended the celebration. Classrooms are invited to help Worzalla name its new mascot in the Worzalla Mascot Naming Competition between now and March 31. To learn more about the competition, email readmore@worzalla.com.
